Mrs. Manel Chandrasekara currently serves as General Manager (GM) at SLEGA College PVT Ltd. She joined SLEGA College PVT Ltd as General Manager in July 2024.

She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Zoology Degree from the University of Colombo in 1993. Mrs. Chandrasekara also earned her Master of Public Management from SLIDA and a Master of Public Administration from PIM at the University of Sri Jayawardenepura. She holds a Higher National Diploma in Procurement and Contract Administration from SLIDA, along with additional diplomas in Office Management, E-Government, and Productivity from various institutions including SLIDA, PIM, and NPS.

Mrs. Chandrasekara brings over 30 years of professional experience, primarily in government sector organizations. She has held positions such as Demonstrator at the University of Colombo's Department of Zoology in 1993, Project Assistant at the Department of Wildlife Conservation, and Assistant Director and Administrative Officer at SLAAS from 1994 to 2007.

From 2007 to 2009, she worked as an Administrative Officer/Office Manager at the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission under the Ministry of Vocational Training and Skills Development. Between 2009 and 2012, she served as Director of Human Resources and Management at the Land Reform Commission under the Presidential Secretariat.

Between 2012 and 2014, Mrs. Chandrasekara was Acting Director of Administration and Human Resources at NARA under the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources. From 2014 to 2017, she served as Additional Director of Administration and Finance at the National Youth Corps under the Ministry of Skills Development and Vocational Training and the Ministry of Planning and Economic Affairs.

From 2017 to 2023, Mrs. Chandrasekara worked at the Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Board under the Ministry of Power and Energy. She retired from public sector service in 2023.

Mrs. Chandrasekara has a wide range of expertise, specializing in human resource management, procurement, administration, organizational planning, organizational development, restructuring, staff training, and motivation.
